We where visiting Nils Vegards family
the christmas 2004.

The christmas was snowy and very cold.
The peak on the picture is called Slogen. It rises 1564 meters
from the sea (5131 feet).

Aalesund, the town where Nils Vegards
sister and her family lives. Also his uncle and aunt live here.

Another christmas picture. Sunset and
boathouses.

Yet another christmas picture.

Anita (and Nils Vegard) likes to ski,
this slope is close to her cabin not far from Lillehammer.

Anitas dad, aunt and uncle celebrating
easter at the cabin.

The cabin has a great view over the
hills and woods at Sjusjoen near Lillehammer.

Anitas friend Rebecca on her horse a
cold christmas.

Many foreigners tend to belive that
Norway is a cold place with snow all year long and with
polarbears in the streets. This picture should prove them wrong.
Actually summer i Norway can be very warm, the record stands at
about 35 degrees Celcius (about 95 degrees Farenheit), 25 to 30
degrees Celcius is not unusual. This picture is from the peak
"Slogen". The fjord is 1564 meters below, that should be
somewhere around 5100 feet.

Another summerpicture, this one showing
Anita and her friends at the beach in Sandefjord, the town is
located a couple of hours drive from Oslo.

There are a lot of beautiful places
along the Oslo fjord, this rainbow is pointing at Drobaksundet.

Hvaler is another great place to be
when the sun is hot. All sorts og watersports can be enjoyed
here, or if you want to relax - have a beer in one of the
seaside restaurants.

Sunrise nearby Halden, a small town
close to the swedish border.

Last October Nils Vegard was visiting
his parents to hike in the mountains, here togheter with his
father.

At the summit. The peak in the
background is called Kolaastind, a very popular mountain to
visit.

Nils Vegards mother and the dog Bono on
another trip in the mountains.

Nils Vegards niese, Karoline.

Karoline checking out the christmas
presents.

Last summer we went on a short trip to
a beautiful mountain-valley called Molladalen. The valley is
located in Orsta, not far from where Nils Vegards parents live.
The valley is a climbers paradise.

All the mountains on this page (except
one :-) are within a 10 kilometer distance from one of Norways
most beautiful fjords, Hjorundfjorden. For more fjords goto

The farm where Nils Vegards parents
live.

....... and their cabin, setra. A very
relaxing place to be, light up the fireplace and the oil-lamps
and stretch out on the couch.

Anita and her friend Rebecca
celebrating May 17. (the norwegian constitution day). They
are wearing national costumes from different parts of norway.

Nils Vegards car the summer 2003. In
the background a glacier located in Sogn and Fjordane county.

The last eight years Nils Vegard has
lived in Oslo, the capital of Norway. With its population of
about 500.000 people, it is not a very big city.

Oslo, the city hall and the harbour.

Our friend Oskar has a sailboat, when
conditions are good the Oslo fjord is crowded with boats. When
the sun is shining and it is windy we enjoy sailing to one of
the small islands outside Oslo, having a barbeque.

When he was young Nils Vegard served
his country in the army. |
